MARTELLE’S FEED HOUSE RESTAURANT
Martelle’s Feed House Restaurant has been a landmark in the Engelhard community for 30 years. Located in Hyde County NC, it has an impeccable reputation in the community. People from all around the area as far away as the Outer Banks, Belhaven, Columbia, and other towns and communities come to enjoy the down-home cooking of Martelle and staff. The restaurant is located on +/-2 acres of land on US Hwy. 264 in Engelhard. It was designed and constructed in 1996 by Martelle himself. Being designed by the owner, Martelle gave it a “down home” atmosphere that would appeal to the clientele he wished to serve. The building is approximately 6900 sq.ft. and has the capacity to seat 175 guests. Martelle has continuously upgraded all the equipment, including the cooking, serving, refrigeration, and freezing equipment. It also has a 100 KW generator as a backup power source and there are five air conditioners to serve the building.
